Makes 8

  • 200g milk or dark chocolate

  • 1 tsp coconut oil

  • 2 apples

  • Nuts for sprinkling (we used pecans)

  • Crushed apple crisps

  • 8 lolly sticks


  1. Melt the chocolate over a bain-marie or in the microwave and stir in the coconut oil.

  2. Slice the apples into 5 even pieces (remove the centre slice with the stalk and pips).

  3. Carefully pierce the remaining apple pieces from the bottom with a knife and insert the lolly sticks.

  4. Dip each apple piece into the melted chocolate, fully coating them and place on a lined baking tray.

  5. Repeat with all 8 apple pieces and then sprinkle with nuts and crushed apple crisps.

  6. Refrigerate for 30 mins, then enjoy!
