Kingsmoor Academy X Scrapples 🍎
This week, we had the privilege of visiting Kingsmoor Academy, winners of our Snack to School competition! 🎉 Every pupil got their hands on a delivery of Scrapples - and we couldn’t resist popping by to join in the fun.
As a dad currently navigating the primary-to-secondary school maze, I’ve been visiting a lot of schools lately - chatting with dedicated (and often overworked) teachers, curious pupils, and passionate PTAs. You can usually get a feel for a school within minutes - especially when the pupils share their views with no filter. They’ll often tell you exactly what they think (and feel).
Those visits have really made me think about what defines a truly great school - the kind that buzzes with energy and a genuine sense of community.
The best schools are led by teachers who love what they do - setting the tone for a positive, connected culture. Backed by a passionate PTA that brings energy, creativity, and fun into school life, they create an environment where kids can truly thrive.
Kingsmoor Academy is the perfect example - and it was easy to see why they won the competition. From the long-serving headteacher to the brilliant PTA parents and super-smart School Council, they radiate spirit and teamwork, and have created an inclusive culture where every child can shine.
We chatted with the pupils about how Scrapples began to help inspire their upcoming entrepreneurial project and why we use wonky apples and how it helps define our brand. Their excitement and curiosity have inspired us to do more to celebrate school communities.
