Scrapples launch into hundreds of Co-op stores!
Piptastic news! Scrapples apple crisps have launched in hundreds of Co-op stores across the country!
Scrapples has been selected as one of the first small businesses for The Co-op's retailer accelerator scheme. The ‘Apiary” programme focuses on innovation solutions around sustainability, food waste and plant-based snacks; meeting a customer demand for innovative, value-driven new products.
At Scrapples we believe snacks should taste good and do good, that’s why we transform wonky apples into healthy crisps, so the more you snack, the less is wasted. Scrapples are not just good for the planet. Made from 100% whole fruit, with no added sugar, salt, fat or oil and counting as 1 of your 5-a-day, they are good for you too!
As the demand for healthy, sustainable snacks has grown, Co-op is our forth mass market launch this year, after Morrisons, BA flights and the UK’s leading school caterer, Chartwell’s. We are so excited to offer parents a handy, healthy, and mess-free option for keeping the kids fed and entertained in another major outlet.
The more places’ Scrapples are available, the more we can do to stop over 930 tonnes of delicious “wonky” edible food being wasted globally each year.
Co-op stores are stocking all 3 delicious Scrapples flavours (Apple, Apple with mango and Apple with strawberry) in singles as well as our two best selling multi-packs. The new Top Bumps character cards free in multi-packs gives parents a chance to chat about food sustainability in a fun way.
